2015 Bucketball Winter Classic Report: FINAL STANDINGS: W-L (SP/B/BB) TP 1. Matt Hohenberger, 12-0 (176/82/3) 431 2. Tyler Oehmen, 8-4 (195/65/13) 416 T3. Adam Twist, 3-7 (112/62/0) 308 T3. Jamie Perkins, 4-7 (148/45/2) 287 5. Steve Sigman, 0-9 (89/41/0) 209 Matt Hohenberger took home his 3rd Winter Classic in as many opportunities and his 6th career Major Championship, solidifying his spot as the sports top-ranker player. In the last two majors, Hohenberger is a combined 28-1 and is 32-2 since May. OF NOTE: -Congratulations to Adam Twist, who proved his longevity in the sport at the Winter Classic by playing in his 300th career game!! Twist, who now stands with 302 GP, celebrated his 300th game by beating Steve Sigman 37-30 with 11 Buckets. The game was Twist's Bucketball leading third career 11-Bucket game. -Tyler Oehmen, who is now 196-129 (.603) is just four wins shy of 200 in his career. -Congratulations to Oehmen who is now the first member of the 6,000 Single Point Club!!! Oehmen reached the mark in the final game of the night against Hohenberger. The play gave Oehmen a then 13-5 lead, the largest lead he would hold in the game. This information was gathered using the new Bucketball play-by-play tracking technology. -Jamie Perkins now joins Oehmen and Twist as the only three Bucketballers to allow 1,000 Buckets. Perkins now sits at 1,001. -Hohenberger earned his 2nd career 4-bagger against Sigman, who assisted with Hohenberger to combine for six consecutive Buckets in the game. -Twist & Sigman set what is believed to be a Bucketball record by combining for 10 consecutive Buckets in a game. -Oehmen and Twist combined for 19 Buckets to set a new record for most Buckets in one game. The record would only stand for three games, however, as Twist took back to the table to match-up with Sigman to Bucket 20 balls between them. -Oehmen def. Sigman 41-38 in what is tied for the 13th longest game in history. -Twist recorded his seventh career ceiling Bucket against Oehmen. The Ceiling Bucket was the only one of the tournament. -ODDITY OF THE TOURNAMENT: Steve Sigman would grab a crucial and early 3-0 lead against Tyler Oehmen during round robin play. In the very same game he held a 3-0 lead, he trailed 21-0 due to an early Knocked Bucket and a 16-point run by Oehmen.
